Neighborhood HOA

This history of the neighborhood plays a vital part in the identity of its residents. If you have lived in the neighborhood for many years, the neighborhood history is a heartfelt reminder of days gone by.

  • History of The Timbers
The Timbers consists of 6 phases. Phases 1,2 and 3 are located in the North East corner of the Timbers. This was the first part of The Timbers and the homes in these phases were built in the mid 1980s. The main entrance in to this phase is Timber Ridge Drive off 544.

Phase 4 started in 1994 and the builders at that time were Gehan, Hampton and Mercedes Homes. These builders finished their building and left the area. There were still many lots left to build on in Phase 4 and those lots remained empty for upwards of a year until US Homes came in and finished Phase 4. Phase 4 is basically from Hawthorne Drive East and the City Park is located in this phase on Pine Top Drive. The main entrance in to Phase 4 is at 544 and Hawthorne.

Phase 5 was started by US Homes after Phase 4 was completed. Phase 5 is basically West of Hawthorne Drive between Albertsons and the TXU Electric power lines. The two entrances into this phase are Elmcrest Drive and Glenwood Drive.

Phase 6 was then started by US Homes. This entire phase is South of the TXU Electric power lines. US Homes completed their part of this phase and was then bought out by Lanar Homes. Lanar did not choose to build on the remaining lots, so at that time Goodman/Diamond Homes came into The Timbers Phase 6 and built their model home on Briar Oak Drive. They then completed the building and finished out the neighborhood. The two entrances in to Phase 6 are Briar Oak Drive and Renner Road.
